Max Scherzer finally solves 'hanging slider' issue with adjustment after shutting down LA | SNY
29In this Mets post game news conference, starter Max Scherzer has had a difficult time solving the riddle of the "hanging slider", which has hurt him all season. It took a soggy Sunday at Citi Field to figure out the issue and the result was a seven-inning, one-hit, six strikeout performance. It turned out to be a case of "muddy cleats" which Scherzer characterized as, "that simple, that stupid." As for the the team breaking their four-game losing streak, "hopefully this snowballs and we find a hot streak."
