So Cyberpunk 2077 is just days away from releasing and the hype train is going off the rails. I can't help but notice though that we've seen almost no real gameplay and we hardly know anything about the game aside from some very edited sizzle reels that CD Project Red has drop fed us over the last few years. Think about it, that Gameplay trailer that we got the other day had almost no real gameplay in it and was mostly sweeping views of the cityscape and talking to people.
This is worrying to me. Cyberpunk 2077's hype is off the charts thanks to us waiting for the game for 7 years now, and some people are beginning to act that like the game's gonna be the greatest thing we've ever played despite us not even having so much as a review yet. And then we all saw that leaked gameplay that looks next to nothing like the super glossy trailer cuts we've seen and now I've gotta wonder if maybe we should temper our expectations about Cyberpunk 2077?
It doesn't help at all with the delays and how it's coming out that despite CDPR's posturing last year and even before that, it turns out that CD Project Red is making their game devs crunch too because if they don't the gamers are gonna rise up.
Will this video be received well? Have I learned ANYTHING since my Doom Eternal video? Probably not!
