3Quick question: why aren’t there more video games from countries other than Japan and the U.S.? Whither Europe, huh? Well, the Spanish-made Biomechanical Toy, which is a precipitous descent into the blackness of the human psyche, demonstrates aptly why other perspectives just don’t seem to jive with the medium. (Add to that the Korean Hard Head series from last week, and the thesis holds water.)
All told, this is a pretty yeomanly attempt at a sidescrolling action game, like a bizarro Vectorman I guess. The visuals, while definitely original, will make you question everything. Poor Kyle chose this for Christmas since it seemed tangentially related to toys and LA NAVIDAD. Unfortunately it seems like a better fit for Satanic Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas!
