Mechanical Keyboard vs Regular Keyboard. Mechanical better for gaming?
203Is a mechanical keyboard good for gaming? I bought a Razer Black Widow Tournament Edition (no number pad) and have been using it for a week and would have to conclude that yes, it it is!
The keys a subtly more responsive/reactive, but I have to say the thing that I feel makes it better is how comfortable and satisfying it is to use the keys. When gaming/general computer using for extended periods of time it is important to maintain comfort in the hardware you're using and I personally felt the mechanical keyboard does this better than a non-mechanical/membrane one.
The only real drawback is the cost. This is the cheapest one I could find and it's still nearly twice the price of an equivalently featured membrane keyboard. However, if you have enough money in your gaming budget I would definitely say go for it.
