We get to see the destroy mech commander mission where we have to defeat a specific unit. This unit in the OG game one you had to scan before killing. Just to have proof that he was killed in combat. At least for that one, as we find out the newer games have life sign scanners and the like making sure units are dead or alive. that including other mech pilots.
