Alternate Configuration A of the Nova cat at first may appear to be a step backwards for the design compared to the prime. Upon closer inspection this anything but. The Nova Cat A brings four deadly ER large lasers to the field, linked to a targeting computer. With this system a clan pilot can easily target specific locations of enemy 'mechs and vehicles to quickly cripple or destroy them. To compensate for the heat build the A has more than adequate extra heatsinks.

A simple build that can work wonders in the sniping role. It has the bonus of jumpjets as well and can easily be used straight out of the store. With some tweaking skill wise it can be even better, though it does have less energy hardpoints than the Prime, it's down to whether or not you want the added agility of the jumpjets.
