Mega Bomberman - Final Area & Ending
23The Final Area & The Ending in my Mega Bomberman walkthrough.
More enemies, one big level, tougher enemies, more obstacles and a harder boss sums up this area nicely.
The robotic birds are back, this time they take one hit but they can launch a missle in front of them. The robotic cyclops only takes one hit. The vehicular enemy takes 2 hits and can walk through walls. The big boxing robot takes 3 hits and can break blocks.
The obstacles here are the steam vents which periodically spurt out steam which can stun you, and the rotating wheels which will fling you forward if entered from behind.
The final boss is split into 3 phases. the first reminds me of Vaati's first form in Minish Cap. Four orbs will surround him that require 3 bomb blasts each, he also shoots out lasers.
The second form is a giant dragon type robot. It attacks with flames and lasers. the head is the target. The lasers fire four times in a distinct pattern.
| | , / \ , | | , \ /. After 6 hits to the head the final boss arrives.
Buggler is invincible when airbourne and can throw bombs around the arena with an extreme range. Luckily, they land predicably and you're given time to move accordingly. You need to get him before or after he enters the bomb throing phase, or when he decides to move slowly. 5 hits and he goes down and the game ends.
As for more Bomberman I don't know. Bomberman World for the PSX is likely in the future, the super Bomberman series also a possibility.
