Mad Max Post Apocalyptic style driveem/beatemup game. The premise is reasonably good (like it could have been mad max the game), but poor execution.
The game is very long and repetative since it just switchies between 2 game modes for 3 hours without any narrative to keep you interested. I quite like the driving section though. Should have had more work put in for performance, but it would have been a real nice cockpit view for a racing game.
Shooting enemy is quite difficult in the car, almost impossible to line up the shot gun without also crashing into something, and when it is lined up, it refuses to fire. Also, only 1 fire button so the game decided which weapon is getting fired, alot of the times, the wrong one, wasting ammo.
As for the Sound.....I think the sound developer was on Holiday or decided to go snes only as it sounds unfinished and quite poor and just seems to be thrown in as a tempary measure, but somehow became final. These were the days before playtesting and quality control I guess, just release when you feel its completable.
As for the ending ....wtf? -
