This segment marks the first time I showcase one of the game's secret areas. In case you don't want the annotations on during this video, I'll elaborate on them here.

Each of the 8 main Robot Master stages holds a secret pod. Some of them are in plain sight, and others are more well hidden. Entering into these pods takes you to a small, separate area of the level where you get to have a rematch with the stage's Robot Master. Each of these fights also includes a new hazard or gimmick, making it much more difficult in certain regards. Defeating the Robot Master in this rematch will reward you with a upgrade to the weapon you originally obtained from them (some better than others).

Overall, this is a rather interesting idea, but there's a few things I have problems with. A majority of these secrets are pretty demanding in what items you have. There's even a few secret areas that require you to have the Rush Jet, Balloon, and Wire, all at the same time. To me, even for a secret area, this breaks the Mega Man tradition of non-linearity. I'm all for having a secret that might require you to have a certain weapon, but it gets a bit overboard when said area requires you to have at least 3 different abilities in order to even reach it.
