Mega Man 7 Playthrough (Part 14) - The Final Boss + Retrospective
5Ah, who could forget the infamous Wily capsule? Definitely the hardest boss of the game. Hardest Mega Man boss? I'm not too sure about that...
Over the years I have developed a strategy for him. It goes like this: Wily spawns, get to the side of room where I'll have the most room, fire off the Wild Coil, then run away. Once the orbs are fired out, I instantly jump, land, turn in the other direction and slide. And of course jumping the thunder orbs as they come. It's not the perfect plan, but ever since I've been doing it I've noticed the fight is much easier. It really can depend on when he spawns sometimes. I've had playthroughs where I've beat him while only getting hit once or twice, and utterly disastrous runs. By this point, you should have plenty of E-tanks anyway. It still won't make the orbs any easier to dodge though...
Nevertheless, that's the end of Mega Man 7. A great game in my opinion, it seems to be the black sheep of the Mega Man series. Some people have different reasons for disliking it; be it the graphical update, how much plot and dialogue the game throws at you. Perhaps even people feel it's easier since you take breaks in between Wily stages. Not to mention you can drop off at the shop for anything you need. I still think it's a great game, and another of my favourite Mega Man games is now being recorded, so stay tuned for that! Until next time. :)
