- In the first phase Gyro Man switches between 2 attack:
- Gyro Man may stand on the ground and throw up to 3 Gyro Attacks horizontally, each will change the trajectory upon reaching Mega's vertical location, either upwards or downwards.
- Gyro Man may fly to the air and shoot down up to 3 Gyro Attacks vertically, each will change the trajectory to left or right upon reaching the ground. For the case that there is no ground found below the propeller, or if the propeller touch the ground without sensing Mega, it will continue moving and turn when it reach Mega's horizontal location instead.
- When HP is dropped to 14, Gyro Man enters overdrive state
- In the overdrive mode:
+ All Gyro Attacks get a little bit faster, and can deflect regular projectiles.
+ Instead of throwing one horizontal Gyro Attack, he may throw 2 Gyro Attacks that eventually spread out and arc backwards. (Similar to Spinning Blade in MMX3)
+ When taking off, a ground of moving clouds appear on screen to help him hide.
+ When flying, instead of throwing vertical Gyro Attack, he may drop 3 bombs that explode on contact.
- Gyro Man can also escape bottomless pit when he falls down.
