Started the year off with high hopes as usual
Another day outside a cubicle is beautiful
As we know it didn’t quite go as planned
But even for mega ran, it was pretty unusual
A couple weddings, couple funerals
thankful for the positive vibes, the feelings mutual
Holiday season ain’t like when we were young,
Zoom calls to the family cause nobody can come
But, I enjoy getting cards in the mail,
of the fam and the pets hope they all doing well
Though i miss the excitement on the block
I’m taken back when I smell the Cider in the pot
And the ScentCicles, that capture all the essence
Of staying up late on the eve wrapping up presents
I Send a blessing to the grown ups to infants
Close up or distant, it’s different this Christmas
We win battles and lose the wars
Another year where I wish I was doing more, but
