Finished! For the first time in my life, I've beaten Megaman X. Things I've learned:
The dog can be fought normally and also by jumping on the walls and sniping him as he jumps between the ways.
The second phrase, Sigma, can be shot with just the weakest buster and twice at that.
The third phase, Sigma, has many things. You have to dash just as the middle is shot at to avoid the energy balls. The beast's eyes flicker when the flame will be used. One good tech. when the flame is done is to scale the side walls (I don't find that viable at other times--actually being more dangerous). When on the hands, jump to shoot only when they're about to shoot electricity so that a stable landing is guaranteed.
