In this episode I read from and share what comes to me as I do so.

This episode explores the historical context and intellectual foundation of Eckhart's teachings, as well as the mystical insights that shine through despite the very much Catholic framing in which he expresses his ideas.

Eckhart seemed to have an appreciation for the oneness of all things and the mind or 'intellect' as the beingness of all things, and our soul, as in a sense, one and the same thing.

This and other intriguing parallels can be drawn between his work and the theological and mystical ideas he drew upon. It can also be discerned that Eckhart may well have been receiving downloads from source.

In any case it was an enjoyable read, and if you're interested, why not have a listen?

This episode is a reading from Meister Eckhart, Selected Writings, published by Penguin Classics in 1994.
