Objectification and the Wounded Masculine
The intention here is to express a non-dualistic, holistic and spiritual perspective on the issues of objectification and patriarchy raised by feminists - but without judgement, and without taking a side.
Can the concepts of the wounded masculine and the ego, together, help explain why so many men have found themselves lusting over women in a self-interested and dehumanizing way?
Feminists point to the conditioning of restrictive and controlling patriarchal norms in society for a long time, but why did patriarchal norms come about in the first place, let alone and last for so long?
What if not only the wounded masculine explains what feminists identify as 'toxic masculinity', but also the desire to be taken, laid claim to and controlled (or to seduce men) in some women, is the wounded feminine?
In short what if the fallen state (into ego) of humanity in the last 12000 years is the reason for widespread dysfunctional and toxic sexual interactions in humanity for so long?
