A 64-year-old man was indicted nearly two days after a woman was hit by a van allegedly hit southeast of Melbourne. Sarah Phillips, 34, was admitted to the hospital after she was shot after crossing Heatherton Road near Avon Street in Noble Park at 7pm on Saturday. It is alleged that driver of the vehicle did not stop at scene. Security footage captured the moments before a woman was hit by a van at Noble Park in southeast Melbourne on Saturday. Phillips' partner, Paul Chircop, made an emotional plea early this morning to get the driver to come forward. "She is a beautiful person. She is a cute girl, she has a big heart." Phillips suffered critical injuries and remained at Alfred Hospital in an intensive care struggle for life. Paul Chircop, partner of Sarah Phillips, described her as a "beautiful person". Neighbors and several witnesses stopped to help Phillips after he was shot and provided first aid until emergency services arrived. A Dandenong North man contacted the police this afternoon and is accused of failing to stop and provide assistance at the scene of an accident. Bail on bail to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
