Melee Myth #62: You Receive More Knockback When Charging Smashes
I used to think that charging smash attacks literally makes your character lighter, which then results in increased knockback. But it seems as though there's simply a knockback multiplier of 1.2 when charging smash attacks. Also, the damage ratio option in Melee has nothing to do with a move's damage. It is a knockback multiplier; so if you set it to 2.0, for instance, then all knockback will be doubled. Thanks to kyl.e (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxrDjOojlUs_YiVNH4QTRRA) for the suggestion!
