The year is 1983. In the neon-drenched, smoke-filled clubs of London's underground scene, a name is being whispered on the lips of the most daring music lovers: Mercury Cherry. She was a firecracker, a glam-punk provocateur with a voice like velvet and gasoline. Her live shows were legendary, pushing every boundary of performance and art.

After a minor hit with a synth-pop track called "Neon Nightdrive," her label, OmniSound Records, demanded a follow-up. Cherry went back into the studio and produced something they never saw coming: a B-side titled "Let Me C**."
