One of the first online flash games I played growing up was called Merlin's Revenge, which was made by Steve Riddett. I returned to TheMetalBox recently to re-play this old gem but was saddened to find out that the old Shockwave player that this game used to run on doesn't exactly work anymore... It does, but it crashes after about 30 seconds to 3 minutes of gameplay...

So, as a programmer, I did the only logical thing and decided to re-create the engine using game-maker. Overall, the result of what you see in the video took a few hours, with the main bottleneck being the fact that I had to re-learn Trigonometry.

I don't know what it is, but blowing stuff up with magic is just so entertaining...
