Metacritic User Reviews Should Be Illegal
70Ah metacritic user reviews. Where every game is either a 10/10 masterpiece, or a 0/10 piece of trash :) I had fun making this one, let me know if I should do another! My favorite reviews are the ones who play the game for hundreds of hours then give it a 0, or the turds who obviously didn't even play the game and write a review based on complaints they heard from someone else. It's a tight ship they run over there at metacritic!
On a more serious note I think game review scores are super inflated. A 7/10 is "average" and only becomes "good" once you start hitting 8s. Even then nerds become irate if the game they're looking forward to doesn't get at least a 9/10 from every site. A game they haven't even played! "Gamers" are way too hung up on validation, be it reviews or player count in multiplayer games. They see giving a game a 0/10 as a way of getting payback. Or if it's not exactly what they wanted (like FF7R's story) they need to knock it down a peg with a bad review. It's hilarious, it's sad, I'll probably do a video on it, but until then please enjoy this montage of morons!
