Metaphor: ReFantazio is an upcoming 2024 role-playing video game developed by Studio Zero and published by Atlus. It is the first original game from Studio Zero since its formation in 2016 by Persona series director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. The game takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, a medieval fantasy realm mirroring the contemporary real world, after the assassination of its former King places a curse on the Prince, putting him in an eternal slumber. The protagonist, an orphaned boy of the magla-wielding Elda tribe and the Prince's childhood friend, is tasked with journeying across the kingdom to rally support from its people as he vies to take the throne in his place while also lifting the spell.
