301Metaphor is the metaphor of metaphors when it comes to anxiety and catastrophizing. Those who are unable to overcome their anxiety turn into these grotesque monsters called humans. But true solidarity like the main party’s helps combat the hold of existential dread. One of the most important points of Metaphor. Yes, we as individuals must take responsibility for our own personal fears BUT it doesn’t mean we have to do it alone. It’s the emotional support and mutual aid of people around us that mitigates the harms of anxiety.
"Accept fantasy is dead, or continue to believe it’s real!” We overcome our dread and gain the power to resist! You see, “Resistance and change often begins in art, and very often in the art of words.”
Remember the themes of collective anxiety and overcoming together. I know it's hard, it's scary, but "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it."
