This is probably my favorite moment in the Metroid series. It's so impactful and reflective. The fact that Samus makes the decision not to kill the last Metroid after exterminating the entire rest of the species... it's powerful and a clear message about violence. The violence she caused on SR388 ended up having major negative consequences, but her peaceful decision saved her life twice, as she notes. Idk it just gets me.
And the song that goes along with it is so perfect, with its unclear meter and repeating pattern it's super good. This cover is actually based on TrojanHorse711's SNES cover of the song which I linked above. I think my cover is good but also it sounds a little abrasive at first... I think you get used to it but it starts off a bit odd. N163 is hard
