This run is 13 minutes faster than the 1:49 I did back in 2018. Many, many routing improvements and strategies have been found since then. Power Bombs before Bombs allowing us to enter Sanctuary early saves quite a bit a time, as it allows us to get Screw Attack, Spider Ball, and Cannon Ball early. Having Cannon Ball early means we can Boost without needing Boost Ball, and it also allows us to kill Chykka adult instantly. Barrier Skip in Torvus saves quite a bit of time as well, as it allows us to leave Sanctuary through Torvus, and also allows us to set up Torvus for cleanup, since we can defeat Power Bomb Guardian and collect the Torvus Key down there early. There's many more improvements, but those are the major two.

This run is okay, I suppose. Pretty rough Light Beam section and first Torvus Entry. The best sections in this run are definitely Agon cleanup and final bosses. Final Bosses were pretty much perfect. The Quadraxis and Chykka fights were also perfect.
This is a really, really low 1:36. I beat my best time by 1:24 RTA, and it's a 1:36 still. It's probably a 1:36:0x.

Compared to Miguel's run, I lose about 30 - 35 seconds on routing. I don't do Amorbis Key skip (which saves around 15 - 20 seconds), as I find that SAU inconsistent. I also don't do the Mine Shaft out of bounds, which also saves about 15 seconds, due to it being very finicky. I do a slightly different route to Light Suit, where I head to GFMC compound after Dark Missile Trooper. This route only loses 5 seconds, and is much safer (avoids softlock potential).

This run cannot do Item Loss Skip. There is a Missile in Hive Chamber B that doesn't exist until the room is reloaded, which currently, can only happen when you trigger the Item Loss cutscene.
Scans do not count as part of the 100% definition. Only items that increase the percent counter are required (The Mission Final screen does not show anything related to scans).
