Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Trilogy Version) Playthrough Part 25: Boost Guardian
5You know it, you hate it, it's time for the battle with the Boost Guardian. The Boost Guardian, fights just like a Warrior Ing, only it can't use the beam attack. In its place, the Boost Guardian uses a devastating transformation where it boosts around all over the place. On top of this, you have no Safe Zones or Beacons, so you're taking damage at every turn. The Boost Guardian will try to possess you. Don't let it happen. Dodge it, and you can wail on the Boost Guardian's puddle form with charged Light Beam shots. There is a separate HyperMode strategy for this fight because the Boost Guardian changes its AI battle plan in its boost form. On any other difficulty, you can simply wait out the rampage and it'll transform on its own. On HyperMode, you have to get in close and bomb it while it prepares to boost. This adds to the difficulty and puts the player at greater risk.
