Game : Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Version : Wii (Trilogy)
Level : Hypermode (Hard)
Boss : Dark Samus 3
Difficulty : Hard to Insane

As she tries to escape from Dark Aether, Samus will find her path blocked by the Dark Hunter. Dark Samus deliberately blocks the only exit with Phazon. She knows the only obstacle in her way to obtain Phazon... is Samus Aran! It's then we all learn Dark Samus is, indeed, the Metroid Prime from Tallon IV.

Dark Samus only has a single attack in the first part of the battle but she also has a special ability that will make her disappear from all visors... except the only one you didn't use against her : the Echo Visor. Because time is against you, you've to use your strongest weapons such as the Super Missile. You cannot attack Dark Samus while she uses her own the attack, some kind of Hyper Beam.

At 7/9 of her HP, Dark Samus will float in a giant spherical shield. It's then you face "Dark Samus 4". She'll launch Phazon Missiles at you that are kind of difficult to dodge but this is not the main problem. You'll have to hold your Charge Beam and get most of particles that'll be launched in the air. Make sure you're not hurt by one of them or you'll lose your Charged Shot. When your beam is blue like Phazon, you simply have to release your Charged Shot at Dark Samus. When she stops using her shield, Dark Samus will use her reflector ability against you so use your Super Missile so she can return in the center and use her shield ability.

This is one of the most simple fights but it'll take lot of time to end Dark Samus. As you end your foe, Dark Samus will be soon disappear into small Phazon particles...
