Before you start Metroid Prime 3, Dark Samus is only known as the Dark Hunter who seeks Phazon in order to regain power. It's the second fight against the Dark Hunter.

Dark Samus will use the same weapons against you but her arsenal has been improved since your last encounter. During the first phase, Dark Samus will basically use Phazon Laser, multi-Beams and Missiles. She'll reflect any Missile you shoot. Just stay away when she uses her reflector so you'll avoid taking more damage. One of her main new attacks is the Phazon Morph Ball with "infinite boost". In order to stop her, you can shoot a Charged Shot but when she stops rolling, prepare to dodge her Phazon "Ice" Beam.

In the second phase after few more hits, she'll turn invisible so you've no choice but using your Dark Visor so you can detect her and target the Dark Hunter. She'll then use a new variant of her Super Missile used in the first fight. In fact, she'll use a very similar attack to the Ice Spreader from Metroid Prime. The Phazon Spreader must be dodged but if you get hit, just press the Jump Button many time so you can break through the Phazon. While she prepares and shoots her beam, she'll be invulnerable. Once she's down, she'll be vulnerable again. In the third phase, she'll use all the attacks from the first fight. At 1/3, she'll be invisible again so you'll have to rinse and repeat.

Overall, this is a spectacular but simple fight. You just can't predict what she's going to do.
