I heard some weird stories too. Apparently someone misled some of you people xD. It's just the ordinary game over scene. You know it was actually pretty hard for me to do this on hypermode. He keeps doing that bite attack which deals a ton of damage. So you have to keep hitting him before he does it to prevent him from biting you.
Otherwise you just get killed before you hit the bottom.

Hmm...makes you wonder why we didn't see Ridley go splat first lol. That would have been funny to see.
