So the year was 2002, and Retro Studios released the very first 3D Metroid game, and it was in first person! Yeah, a lot of people at the time resented the idea, but realistically, I think this was for the best, from a thematic as well as gameplay view.

Metroid Prime, as previously mentioned, is easily in my top games ever made, riding along Super Mario 64, Resident Evil 4, and Devil May Cry 3. I'm probably not the best player (never completed it 100%), but I still love the sense of atmosphere and tight controls this game brings, so I'll at least have fun with it. Now, let's hop into something completely different with Metroid Prime 1 on the Gamecube!
