Metroid: Samus Returns has officially been released! In this video, I show off a sequence break I managed to find (by mistake) during my first playthrough of the game. I also show off a good amount of the final areas in Area 2, then go to Area 3.

Looks like it might be useful for speedruns, and it might potentially be the only main item that can be skipped.

If you want to skip right ahead to when I show the skip ahead to 5:08. I show it again at 9:28 and 9:32 as well.

How to perform:

1. Destroy the Missile block, jump, then morph in the air and lay a Bomb as you are descending. The Bomb should still be just out of the fan's reach. Morphing with the control stick helped me focus on laying the bomb during this time.

2. Un-morph, and as soon as you hit the ground, jump. I find it easier to un-morph with the control stick in this part as well. If you do not jump instantly, you will not be able to perform the next part.

3. Morph in the air as quickly as you can. In this part, I find it easier to touch the map screen for an instant morph. The bomb you planted previously should blast you up to the ledge. When you reach the ledge, unmorph, and grab the ledge.
