Part 8 of my Metroid: Zero Mission let’s play | Lava and Cabinets Are a Threat to Our Very Society!

In this episode I continue exploring Norfair and have to kill some giant bugs with the wave beam and the morph ball bombs. Then I find a giant bug that has been taken over by fungal parasites. This combo acts as a miniboss, and it’s one of the more complicated minibosses in the game. When it falls, the bug wriggles away. Then I head into Ridley’s Hideout below Norfair. Here I can see the bug in a cocoon. When I go back up, it has grown wings and ambushes me. When it kill it, it’s corpse crashes through the wall revealing our next upgrade, the super missiles. I then go back into Ridley’s Hideout and start exploring.

Metroid: Zero Mission is a side-scrolling action adventure game for the Game Boy Advance, released on February 9, 2004. It is a remake of the original Metroid game for the NES, and is considered a masterpiece in its own right. Aside from just altering the level design to fit a modern standard, Zero Mission added in many new features and areas that did not appear in the original. Many consider it to be the best Metroid game.
