Celebrating 25 years of Metroid's existence in the world of gaming with this 18-year celebration in the form of a re-imagining of the very first game in the franchise. Not to mention the very first playthrough I recorded, so let's try this again, shall we?

Few notes:-

1) This isn't in any sense of the word a walkthrough, so don't expect as such.

2) This is definitely not a speed run!

3) This is more having fun with the open-ended freedom of the game than any kind of optimum run, so there may be some slightly odd sequence breaks, but nothing that you haven't seen before, maybe.

4) This will be a 100% run, or as near as damnit, depending on whether I end up being defeated by some of the item pickups, but I have done it a number of times before.

5) Apologies for the loudness of the game audio, this will be fixed in subsequent videos.
