In MGS 2 there's an area near the end of the game where the codec calls begin to break apart & eventually devolve into utter nonsense. The reason for this is a virus uploaded by Raiden to the patriots which causes their AI to freak out and completely fall apart for a while. This leads to Kernel acting strange and speaking nonsense! After a few rooms the illusion falls apart and the AI reveals themselves in a long and drawn out explanation that they exist to control information from the digital age!

Unfortunately this game, and the one after, wont deal with the patriots and their world conquering plans.
