MGS4 is So Sad ;_; Snake is So Lonely ;_;
113I'm working through my first playthrough of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and Solid Snake/Old Snake has such a sad journey. His premature aging enhances the isolation that he already suffered as a biological weapon created by the Patriots to be an ultimate warrior. But now that his body is breaking down, the people who once relied on him for guidance, and the people who once loved him, now look on him as a fragile old man who lives under the delusion that he is a hero of old. Meryl, Otacon, and Naomi all find themselves unable to see Snake for who he is. This short video essay analyzes some of the scenes that develop this aspect of Snake's story.
