If you were around in the 1990s, you would know what this game is. It was on the front page of almost every game magazine. I remember it being on the Sega Genesis, but it was a 2 dimensional side scrolling beat em up game. The arcade version was in isometric format kind of like Zaxxon. It was a fun but hard game, and you had to use many quarters. The levels kind of reflect Michael Jackson's movie videos, like Thriller with the graveyard scene, and beat it with the urban scene. The story is about Michael rescuing children from the clutches of some evil super villain in some moon base. Back in 1990, this game was in almost every arcade, I played it at my local arcade, and for the most part it was a popular game. I love the graphics in the game, and the sound is also very good for that time period. It is easier than a side scrolling game, because you have a extra dimension. It was ported onto different systems, but none of them were quite like the arcade version.

Michael Jackson was a well known and very popular musician of the 1980s. He made many music videos on MTV, like a lot of musicians did at that time. He was one of the best musicians of the 1980s. The title of the game is called Moonwalker, because of the the moon walk which was a popular dance move. Michael Jackson showed the moonwalk in Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever back in 1983. Michael Jackson was known for the moonwalk, and it was emulated by many people in the 1980s. The game itself was loosely based on the film Moonwalker which was released in 1988. However, the storyline for the movie and game were totally different. The film was more of a anthology of short stories, concerts, and music videos Michael Jackson did in the past. There is one thing that is great about this game, and it is music. I always liked Michael Jackson's music.
