Nashville is home to many famous country music landmarks, including a small record shop right on Broadway that has a lot of music and even more history. The Ernest Tubb Record Shop has hosted more than 4,000 shows and offers a large collection of country and bluegrass vinyl, CDs, DVDs, books, and memorabilia.

Ernest Tubb Record Shop was the very first location on Broadway to have live music in 1951 and has continued to host Midnite Jamborees and live shows nearly every week since. In the past 70 years, stars like Elvis, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and many more have performed at the record shop.

Country music star, Michael Ray, shares, "What I love most about this place is as country music has grown, this place has grown too but also stays the same."

Walking through the store is a sentimental experience for many people who come in to escape the busyness outside and end up finding a hallowed ground of country music history. "If you walk in, walk these hardwood floors, and think about the people who have played, it’s just unbelievable," says General Manager Julie Richmond.
