One of the most interesting and very successful projects concerning Windows 10 Mobile and the Lumia 950/XL is a process a couple of VERY talented developeres have created:
Windows 10 ARM & Windows 10 Mobile as a Dual Boot on the Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
In this episode I am exploring what this is all about and I will show you the whole process of how it is done with close to every screen in the whole process, the requirements to do it and a couple of useful tipps about what NOT to do.
Like that this episode is extremly long, but if you really want to know what you have to do, have a look at this.
I hope you like it – it was a lot of work to create this special episode and to bring my smartphone to dual boot (because I did a pretty stupid mistake... the process itself is a lot faster than the approximately 10-14h I had to put into it
just because I did not have enough internal discspace on my smartphone at first.)
So hopefully this is helping you to be faster if you want to do it yourself too.
The result is extremly promising, the performance of the system is very astonishing to me (Windows 10 ARM is really is pretty fast on the L950XL) and you can keep your current installation without loosing data next to the newly installed Windows 10 ARM system.
But now: Start watching! And if you do not have the time but you want to see the result, just jump to the end of the video.
This is the software you will need for the process:
- Github WOA Project (https://github.com/WOA-Project/WOA-Deployer-Lumia/blob/master/Readme.md)
- Windows 10 ARM ISO (https://uup.rg-adguard.net/)
- Windows Phone Internals (https://www.wpinternals.net/index.php/downloads)
- Win32DiskImager (https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/)
And ALL of this would not be possible without the work of these very talented guys:
- Ben Imbushuo for his awesome work with UEFI and misc. stuff.
- Gustave M. for his HUGE load of work on drivers, testing, fixing... For his support, suggestions, for testing and those neat pieces of code!
- René Lergner (Heathcliff74XDA) for WPInternals and for the code to read info from the phone. You started everything 😉
- Googulator. For his work on the USB-C and for the great support.
- Swift (AppleCyclone) for suggestions and his work with the rest of team.
- Abdel ADeltaX for testing and for his work.
...and all the other guys can be seen here:

AND if you want to show your love for that, please have a look at this:

AND here is another very interesting project – The mobile shell for Windows 10... so to get it working even better with the "small" display, this might be very interesting too:
