Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 GTX1070 What a Medium level system is actually like
Press SHOW MORE below game box and read..
No talkin.. No muisc.. Just Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with GPU 1070 on Medium Settings at 1080p 144hz, 8700K overclocked to 4.7ghz. Showing what an average 2-3 year old system may experience in this game. CPU and GPU Temps stay at 70c and the A.I. is piloting (errors and all). Not "handcrafted", but Generic buildings and small airports Shelby, NC (KEHO) to Ashville, NC (KAVL) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I use the Cessna Citation Longitude jet from the Premium Package, while the Cessna Citation CJ4 jet comes with every edition.
Excuse any jitters while I use the head tracking(TrackIr supported) and mouse combined with zooming.. those are my errors.. not the game.. Every tip, assist etc on screen can be turned off.. just showing how easy it is to get started. I "may" upgrade my graphics card in the future if I get hooked.. but quite content with the old GTX1070 for now. You don't have to sell your first born to enjoy this game. And I don't think there is a Computer out there yet that can fully use the potential of this future protected game.. it will grow with you.
I would buy it again without hesitation.. Those faint of heart..maybe buy at a different time. The Steam first launch was a fail as most know by now.. after uninstalling the launcher and re-installing their new launcher moments later.. it was on to sign in at MS xbox.. the down load was long.. over 12 hrs for me with a 100Mbps connection, seemed throttled to 20-25Mbps. The Deluxe and Premium purchases needed a reboot to get them into the game.. another 3.5Gib.. after that it was just making settings and flying..
it was the first day, of course there are some hiccups, I am sure MS will get fixed.. even with my old 1070 graphics card I can play 40-50's FPS in most areas on High, medium is best if you are going to be around major cities or fly night flights.. pretty big hit on the 1070, but still usable.. Medium looks very very good actually.. and does not make my 8700K and 1070 feel that old.. less than 24hrs from launch I have visited my local area.. plus Memphis , Charlotte, Chicago(Premium Ohare and vanilla Midway) .. the vanilla airports are really bare bones.. FSX beats them.. the Handcrafted are nice. Flying high looks good.. roads are easy to follow.. The Weather system is a fun toy to play with, clouds are amazing. "live" weather and aircraft traffic can also be used. The buildings on auto fill not so much of a good look or replacement of the real buildings, but doable for now.. X52pro, TrackIr and Saitek Rudder pedals all worked fine. CH Flight Yoke must be entered manually for all axis and buttons but works fine as well when completed. it is nice to be in the skies again.. the game offers a lot for the price.. ignore the naysayers.. plenty of places to go runway hopping.. They actually had a destination of a pasture strip this local guy of mine flies his old crop duster near the house.. was amazing to see.. The whole world at your finger tips.. thumbs up!
First time using the built in Nvidia recording software with this video.. works
