Microsoft is Reportedly Buying Metal Gear and Other Franchises from KONAMI
27Originally, it was reported that Sony was attempting to acquire the rights to IP’s from KONAMI. That may not be happening after all. It turns out that Microsoft is rumored to be buying series such as Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania, and more from the company. It is completely possible that the transaction is already complete. KONAMI even denied that Sony was buying the IP’s. It turns out, Microsoft might be wanting to but franchises from KONAMI.
