We learned at last year's Meta Connect that Quest headsets would gain official support for Xbox Cloud Gaming and now we have a clearer idea of when that will happen. During this year's event, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the game streaming service will be available on Meta Quest 3 sometime in December.
Using your headset, you'll be able to stream games like Halo Infinite, Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 to a large, virtual 2D screen. You'll need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to use Xbox Cloud Gaming, as well as a compatible controller. A disclaimer notes that the service will only be available on Quest in select regions. It's unclear if and when Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available on Quest 2 and Quest Pro.

Despite losing its pivotal court case, the Federal Trade Commission in the US still insists that Xbox’s deal is a ‘threat to competition.’
According to Bloomberg, the case has little chance of stopping or reversing the acquisition, which begs the obvious question of why are the FTC bothering?

Phil Spencer visited Japan for the 2023 Tokyo Game Show, which ran from September 21 to September 24. During that time, Spencer gave an interview with the Japanese gaming website Game Watch. Among the questions was whether Microsoft will make certain titles Xbox Game Pass exclusives. The interviewer referenced the streaming service Netflix, which invests heavily in exclusive content, and wondered if Microsoft might do something similar.
However, Spencer explained that Microsoft sees Game Pass as a way to get its game to as many players as possible.
“Xbox isn’t just about Xbox Game Pass,” said Spencer. “The real success of Xbox is that more people play Xbox, whether it’s on an Xbox console, whether it’s on PC, in the cloud, or on another console.”

Last night, Don't Nod announced that its new story-driven action-RPG Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden was being pushed back from its intended November launch to February of 2024 despite being finished and ready to go:
"With so many unforgettable games in 2023, it's important that each of them shines brightly. Though finished and set for release, we want Red and Antea's story to get the spotlight it deserves.
As a result, with our publisher Focus Entertainment, we took the decision to postpone its release on PCs and Consoles to February 13, 2024."
