5Yes, it's that time of year again, the time in which I, the most brilliant and amazing gamer in the universe, that guy nobody likes, uploads another silent review for lulz and then prepare for yet another long, drawn out, boring series of........a-anyway! you're here for the description's cut and dry so let's get right to it!
Pros
-Solid merging of three different gameplay engines, a stealth engine from Assassin's creed, combat from arkham asylum, and a movement and weakness targeting system from the witcher two merge to make a game designed to make you feel like an assassin, a real one!
-you are a terrorist who kills orcs
-explosions
-damned good next-gen graphics
-EXPLOSIONS!!!
-riding a graug
-stealthing is the most gratifying, but each player will find specific approaches of gameplay equally gratifying and fun.
-sound is pretty solid, but leaves a bit to be desired, sword effects sound too realistic and tend to draw from the sense of satisfaction
-the nemesis system, a new gameplay mechanic which make the orcs the best and most interesting part of the game by making each encounter feel.....special.
Cons
-talion and celebrimbor suck, they're just....there.
-bare characterization
-awkward and clunky UI and controls detract from the game
-plot isn't quite as good as it could be.
-controls are awkward, sometimes doing one thing inadvertently leads to the other, using the bow results in NOT using the bow, stealthing results in walking, a b-bash attack results in ledge hanging and DEATH, etc. not too bad, but a minor annoyance
-the orcs that keep flirting with you, seriously what's the point in knowing they'll kill you and rape the body? really?
verdict? a fence straddling 7-8 it's not bad by any means, it's often somewhere between amazing and just good. lol.
it's proof that even an obvious ripoff can be amazing if done well.
