As some are aware, two of the fourteen opponents do not take the 10 count in this game, as they were not programmed to do so. However, thanks to a Game Genie code that I created back in 2002 by typing in random letters (OXOULU) that keeps all of the opponents down for the count, after they are knocked down once, both Great Tiger and the first Bald Bull have no choice but to be knocked out as well.
Other than for using my Game Genie code to keep those two particular opponents down for the count, no other cheating devices were used during the other fights.
Played by Daniel “DTysonator” Teixeira from late March 2019 to April 1st, 2019 on an original NES console, using a regular NES controller and the official Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! NES cartridge, with absolutely no cheating devices (other than for my Game Genie code required to KO Great Tiger and the first Bald Bull respectively) or rapid fire/turbo buttons.
