Here's a player launcher I made on the 4TheLoreSMP Season 2 Minecraft server. It can hurdle you up to massive lengths going over a 1000 blocks and further. If you are lucky, you can go well paste 4000 blocks.

The original design is by u/betterthanlars over on reddit. His contraption was intended to be used a Arrow Launcher which I converted into a player launcher. It's a fun little contraption; a lot of fun to be had with on a multiplayer server with a lot of players.
