Minecraft Steve: "The Jefferson Combo"
10So, I've been spending time on Steve in training mode for an hour and a half. I'm still trying to get the hang of him but he is hella fun, and I see so much potential in him. But it's been hard trying to compose combos to be completely honest. This one is admittedly simple, but that's because I'm still trying to get the hang of the game in general. Regardless I'm very proud of it.
The reason why I dubbed it as "The Jefferson Combo" is because of the lyrics to the respective TV show, referring to "movin' on up". My other choice was to call it "The All the Way Up Combo", because of the amount of u-airs it takes to perform the combo, and, of course, sending your opponent upwards continuously until they got the blastzone.
But, being that Ja'Net DuBois, the singer of the Jefferson theme song and star of my favorite sitcom "Good Times", died earlier this year, I figured that I'd give a tribute to her for this combo's name. Plus, I'm not a fan of French Montana, so screw the latter name.
This was performed using Steve's wood-made instruments. The first two hits (crossup falling u-air to shorthop u-air) are not a part of the full combo's confirm, rather meant for crossup and mixup purposes. The fair right after is a hit-or-miss situation, being that it's extremely difficult to connect with the spike hitbox, but once connected, it puts the opponent in a stun once they hit the ground, making the rest of the combo completely true, and also a kill confirm (on heavies like Incineroar at the moment) at 25% before the double u-airs, and roughly around 50% after the fair spike, on the end of Final Destination.
