Minecraft - Using /clone to make games!
As part of the next update, Minecraft is releasing a command for the Command Block that allows users to clone blocks up to 9x9x9 of volume (I think? It might be slightly higher than that), and if you're playing the latest snapshot then you can preview this right now!
Using the clone command, you can essentially reserve chunks of land for assets (eg, houses, churches, swimming pools, chunks of a maze, anything really), and use a command block to refer to that structure, and create it relative to a command block :) It's almost like 3D sprites in a video game where the GPU (or whatever) cuts out images from a tilesheet. Anyways, I hope more people will make awesome stuff because this now means you don't have to worry about installing mods which can already do this.
