Minecraft's Glitched Repeating Seeds Still Work in Caves & Cliffs.... kinda
Minecraft has a lot of broken seeds that repeat some chunks diagonally.
I wanted to see if they still worked in Caves & Cliffs, and they do.... to an extent.

This repetition is caused by the fact that math is consistent, and you can try it out for yourself.
Minecraft's World Generation is weird, and confusing.
If you watch Antvenom, I'm sure you are aware of the repeating seeds in Minecraft,
but if you are not,
there are certain seeds that cause some funny consistent math for world generation across chunks,
leading to repeating landforms, generation decoration, lava pools, mob spawns, and many other things.
I wanted to see if these repeats still happens in the Caves & Cliffs snapshot and see how it looks.
There'll be a link in the description to AntVenom's video about the seeds where you can learn more in-depth info on why it happens.
There are apparently over 274 billion repeating seeds, so there's plenty to choose from.

as well as let me know what your favorite part of the new Caves & Cliffs world generation is.
There are a few places to look to easily see the repetition.
For instance, in the Ice Spikes Biome,
you will notice that there's plenty of repeating Ice Spike formations.
I didn't have to explore long to find multiple right next to each other either.
They seem to repeat less compared to how they did pre-Caves & Cliffs,
with plenty of smaller lines of repeats.
It's also easy to see if you look at the trees.
Specifically, with the bigger oak trees,
but you can see the exact same tree, same leaves, some log locations, repeating multiple times.
It happens all over the place.
It can be harder to see in denser forests, but it's still probably there.
It also effects mushrooms in the Dark Forest biome as well.
You can see the lines in the mushrooms, pretty close together.
It's definitely something harder to notice from the ground.
I said before that it also effected mob spawns, and here's that.
You can see the mobs spawning diagonally from each other at a consistent distance,
aside from mobs that roamed after spawning.
If the usual pack of mobs spawned, there's another usually diagonally from it.
This leads to plenty of food available, and might be fun to play in a survival world.
Now we can see the repeating lava pools.
The same size, same distance from each other, only getting cut off by some other world generation like a river, or ravine.
This is obviously really hard to see in survival, but it would be nice to know not to dig anywhere in that direction.
I was also able to find double lines of these repeating pools.
Last but not least, the iconic infinite mineshaft.
I'm actually kind of surprised it still works.
The other seeds seemed to be sporadic on how far the repeat went, but this mineshaft is still truly infinite.
I flew through it for awhile, and it was a consistent mineshaft, aside from the occassional water that ran in from around it.
The mineshaft itself, is not too wide, but it's dense,
aand runs straight down the axis, unlike what I've shown you before, that was always diagonal.
I really expected the Caves & Cliffs generation to have done more changes to these.
Although it's based on math, and one would expect math to always be the same,
I expected the revamped world generation to have completely changed the seed.
But that's not totally the case, as seen with the infinite Mineshaft, which was on the same seed as it's known for.
Minecraft world generation is definitely confusing, and it definitely is looking great for Caves & Cliffs.
Let me know what your favorite part of the new world generation is.
I would have to say the blending is my favorite part, along with probably the world height increase, for even more dramatic mountains.
