Description:

It took me a while to realize that the map was near the entrance.
Eventually, you'll reach a one way path to jump down, so make sure you're prepared. Once you exit on the Jade side, the party will be attacked by a boss monster, but Doken and Whyp show up.

For some reason, picking up shiny items on the beach also starts a random fight.

Explore the town as much as possible before checking into the inn. Also, make use of the piano here to learn new songs.
After you rent out the inn room, Akira plays a strange song over and over again on the piano. Doken tells her to meet him outside. Before doing so, check the map on the second floor in order to get the town map, since Doken won't stop you this time. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until you return here with a different party.
Doken challenges Akira to a friendly duel to see if she's strong enough to accompany him.

He can use a strong combo and a weak physical attack, though the latter might have a chance of stun.

The dialogue choice and bestiary entry indicate that Doken held back.
For some reason, there's a purple-hooded girl in front of the boat house, and she looks like Choko.
You can buy consumable items in the boat house, but don't talk to Alex until you're ready to advance the story.

Before climbing inside, be sure to grab all the treasure outside.
This place features a lot of mimic chests, which reward megalixers.
The guard in the basement can be negotiated with, but if you fight him, he'll turn out to be an elite guard.
Along the way, Doken finds a gun that Kari can use.
At some point, the random encounters will stop and instead you'll only get predetermined encounters with mage type enemies. For some reason, they can still use their spells even when silenced. This feels wrong somehow.
You have to use the elevator and find NPCs, who will give you hints about the 3F password. It's 1469.
The factory boss, Tsua, seems scared of Akira and Kari for some reason. She also tenses up further upon hearing Echo's name.
1:06:11 Boss: Tsua & Dreagy
Dreagy will spam Tornado, which does massive damage, but cannot knock your HP below 1. However, Tsua can still kill off party members. If you're lucky, Kari can reflect the tornado to kill Dreagy faster. Overall, this fight feels way too luck-based.

Tsua reveals that she has a bomb implanted in her and urges the party to save the other scientists. Unfortunately, the timer ticks down during dialogue and in the menu, which means you can't really soak in the dialogue or save without wasting time. There's still enough time to save everyone in 2F and the basement, but the game won't let you go south to where that guard was.
If you save everyone, you get a powerful sword that you normally wouldn't be able to buy until the volcano area.

Kachie, Tadase, and Tara want to chase after Akira, but I recommend getting them some new gear first. If you have the Mirrikhal Sword from saving all the hostages, Tara should equip it immediately.
