MiSide (Part 3): Scaredycat runs horror game completely blind. I'm sure this will end well...
Now for something totally different. MiSide isn't my typical type of game. Indeed, horror is usually not what I stream here (Little Nightmares aside), but I wanted to give this game a whirl since it looked really good. Sure enough, I am having a lot of fun with this. Will this open the door to other horror games? Maybe... I know I have a few in mind, but let's tackle it one at a time. It's all my poor sensitive heart can take.
Now that we are done, a few thoughts (SPOILERS)...
1. I am being to love atmospheric horror. Between this an Little Nightmares, I got a new genre I wanna play.
2. The story and everything with this game was nice, but the ending was fairly predictable. I didn't really realize it at the time (I was tired), but with everything that happens in the game, the reveal wasn't too terribly shocking. I actually wish they kind of went a little further with it, how she got into the game in the first place for example. I absolutely knew everything was leading to a downer ending, but that tends to be the norm with these games.
3. Apart from that, it's hard to classify what kind of game it was. A series of mini-games with horror breaks in between? I guess considering we are in one of those cell phone type games, this makes perfect sense.
Anyway, I highly recommend this one for anyone into these styles of games. I hear that it is pretty messed up compared to others, but I didn't seem to have too many issues other than occasional nervousness and a few (well done) jump scares.
