Chrono Cross slaps and any praise I can give this game has been repeated many times by others. It is one of my favorite JRPGs of all time.
What is a teenage fisherman boy to do when they are tasked to hunt luminescent scales for their girlfriend only to be swept into a dimension where they didn't exist? I'd say it's time to kick some ass so hard you'll kiss the moons.
