Jiron believes Timp fled to the nearby Innocent dome and wishes to pursue him again, but is told to stay put by Cotset. Elche was invited inside and begins talks with Biel, who runs P-Point. The fight that took place previously is seen as self-defense and Elche is let off the hook. Even more, she's offered a new, excusive weapon to install on the Iron Gear though in exchange Biel would like to meet with Jiron and the other Irregulars. Elche agrees. Dowas is a little unsure about this decision, but Biel feels differently, saying that there should be a little more rebelling against the current law system.

When Elche returns and discusses the new weapon being offered, the Irregulars give pause as to a potential ulterior motive for this, as if to test its performance in combat, believing the same to be said for the newer Walker Machines such as the Xabungle and Iron Gear. Before they can get far, Vickman's Breakers return for yet another scrap. Elche warns everyone not to ininitate the battle so they can claim self-defense again, but Jiron is too hot-headed to listen and proceeds to sortie to battle with Timp once more. Timp lets it slip that he and Vickman are working for the Innocent and Jiron thinks that the Innocent planned a hit on his parents. (they didn't) That forces Jiron to make the first move in this battle and it's on.

Vickman eventually shores up his defenses, giving Elche a good opportunity to try out the new Potan Cannon she received. It easily wipes out the fodder, but only steels Vickman further and makes him bust out... his own Potan Cannon? Seems the Innocent aren't exactly so innocent in their duplicity! Vickman is repelled again, but before our crew can relax, a bunch of lads from the moon have come to start trouble in fancy flying machines! They seem to have it out for Earthnoids and are a bit more spry than the Walker Machines we've been fighting up 'til now.

The Moon Race is beaten back and Elche gets her second meeting with Biel, who thanks her for protecting P-Point. Our heroes learn about a "Black History" that chronicles how the Earth as it is now has ended up as such a scorched land, but its contents are restricted to higher class Innocent civilians around these parts. Biel confirms the Irregulars' suspicions about testing their new weapons on standard machines by using Vickman and others as subjects in order to better combat the Moon Race, who wish for nothing more than the Earth's subjugation. He asks for Elche's help in battling them officially. Elche is given some time to think about the offer.

Back at the Iron Gear, everyone seems down to accept Biel's offer, if only to learn more about the Moon Race and find more of the lost Alpha Numbers. Elche was told to head for Fort Severn, where they can combat the Moon Race right away, but Kenicihi suggests they survey the land across the ocean first to get a better idea of what's up. And so comes our next route split...
